Helicopter flying lessons

Don't just dream about it, do it! You've seen them on the movies, you've seen them arriving at the racetrack, now it's your chance to have your own private helicopter flying lessons.

Our helicopter flying lessons begin with a brief introduction into how the helicopter works and what to expect from your helicopter lesson. Once your instructor has given you a demonstration and shown you the helicopter's abilities it is over to you. Throughout the length of your flying lessons you will be under strict supervision by a qualified instructor, who will be there to help you if you need any assistance.

You will find yourself at the dual-controls of a real helicopter ready for an action-packed flight of around 30 minutes! This hands-on opportunity comes only to a select few, but here you are, ready to go forwards, backwards or sideways! You can hover if you want, the choice is yours! If you have envied and admired those air sea rescue pilots who spend long hours hovering over stricken vessels, then this helicopter lesson will give you just a taste of their skill and expertise. If you have the appetite for flying or you really want to indulge in a long session, then our 60 minute helicopter flying lessons could be the one for you. There is nothing like a session with a fully qualified instructor to really give you confidence. Take the controls and find out what excitement can be!

There are unfortunately some restrictions on our helicopter flying lessons; The minimum age is 14. The weight and height restrictions vary from centre to centre, participants over 16 1/2 stone (105kg) and/or 6'5" please advise us in advance. Our helicopter flying lessons can be affected by the weather.

Flight Simulator flying lessons

This one is for those who want the nearest thing to reality. The flight simulator will give you the exact feel of the real thing! Amazingly, you can actually feel the acceleration and hear the engine roar as you speed down the runway. After your briefing session from the instructor, you will have total control of the simulator as you begin your flying lessons. In this situation, you will be allowed to get away with nothing! You go through the pre-flight checks and await your clearance for take-off. When the power is on, the mighty plane will rise with you at the controls, the ground will disappear below you and you'll get the chance to practise 90 degree turns before you begin your approach. You'll see the runway lights ahead of you, and your heart may beat a little quicker as you attempt a perfect landing.

Tiger Moth flying lessons

Aviation nostalgia! Fly back in time to the 1930s in Tiger Moth vintage biplane. Let the canvas and string flying days be a part of your life.

Look out Biggles! This is 20-30 minutes of your life you will not forget! After a pre-flight briefing, you will be kitted out with the full flying monty - helmet, goggles and Biggles-style leather flying jacket! Then you take to the skies for the hands-on flying lessons of a lifetime. The length of the flight depends on location. Yes, you will be offered the controls of a Tiger Moth to find out what real flying is like - no hostesses up there!

Microlight flying lessons

This is something a little bit different. Not quite gliding, not quite ordinary light aircraft flying, but a unique microlight flying lessons! It's thrilling, exciting and possibly just a little more of everything than you thought.

A microlight is a flying machine in different shapes and sizes and offers you the kind of control and manoeuvrability you would normally expect from a helicopter. The 20-25 minute flight will give you plenty of time to take over the controls, under expert instruction of course. This will be your hands-on chance to find out how much fun these little aircrafts can be whilst being completely safe.

Aerobatic flying lessons

Hang on to your hat! This is not just a joy ride, this is the full aerobatic flying lessons. Fancy taking the controls? Are you up for it? Strictly for the birds? Oh no! The modern light aircraft, with you in it, is put though its paces during an aerobatic flying lessons with a highly experienced instructor at your side. If you feel brave, you could even get the chance to take over the controls!
