Hovercraft Racing Experience for Two

Description

You`ll start with a safety briefing and demo, then you`ll learn the basics of flying these exciting machines (under supervision) - and quickly learn that it`s not as easy as the instructors make it look! Then moving through a challenging obstacle course to enhance what you have learnt.

Having mastered control of your hovercraft (these are one person crafts), you`ll be moved to the Hover Cross track - flying the hovercraft over land and water around our purpose built track in a series of timed trials. Piloting the race proven Flying Fish Formula 25 single seater hovercraft, you`ll soon appreciate that these lightweight machines deliver a whole world of fun and excitement and can even reach speeds of 30mph.

All times are recorded, and at the end of the year the two fastest people will receive a free session at our track.

You will also be presented with a certificate from the day with us. Drinks & refreshments will be available before and after the event.

We suggest you wear old clothes and bring something dry to change into - learning to fly a hovercraft over water can be a somewhat damp experience for novices! Crash helmets and poncho`s are supplied.

Things you need to know

Hovercraft experiences operate throughout the year. Weekends of every month at Sandwich. Please allow 2 hours at the venue.

Private parties can be booked during week days.

Minimum age for this experience is 12 and maximum weight is 20 stone.
